Yes, I’m a self-confessed ABBA tragic. So much so that I hunted high and low for a font with the reversed capital B, but alas, font designers’ imagination doesn’t stretch that far. Someone with a great deal of imagination is Ingmarie Halling, Creative Director and Curator of the ABBA Museum in Stockholm, Sweden. Just imagine having a job that entails hunting for artefacts from one of the most popular acts in music history, then creating scenes for people to walk through and interact with.
Then there’s the ABBA The Museum/Choir. Such a magical sound and here in Adelaide for a brief time with four shows in this year’s Adelaide Fringe Festival, and all within the next three days, you need to be quick for your chance to see them live.
They’re hear as special guests of The Equality Project’s Better Together National LGBTIQA+ Conference in Adelaide on 17-18 February 2023.
It was a great pleasure to chat to Ingmarie and get a sneak peak of the choir in action. And now I’m “one away” from ABBA. Get close, yourself, this Friday and Sunday.. timeless music sung by the newest leaf on the ABBA family tree, with firsthand stories from the lady in the know.
Thanks to Ingmarie, the ABBA Museum Choir and The Equality Project for making this ABBA fan’s day!
