Adelaide Fringe Festival 2023

A journey around the world invites you to join Lumina on a journey both familiar and new. Visit new countries and hear songs that speak of our shared human experience – the varying seasons of the year, the inevitable seasons of life.

Lumina’s Journey Around the world will take you to contemporary Ukraine with a gorgeous piece by the late Ukranian composer, Hanna Havrylets, who was killed within the first three days of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022; music from medieval Georgia; gorgeous folk songs from Bulgaria, Wales, Croatia and Bosnia; a rousing African song of celebration; as well as works from Indigenous America and Australia.
